Korean Forestry Students Visiting Indonesia

Korea Forestry Promotion Institute (KOFPI) organized 20 Forestry Students from 12 different universities in Korea to visit Indonesia on 24 July – 1 August 2017 under the program :  “KOFPI Future Global Green Leader Program”.  The purpose of the program is to give opportunity to have experiences of overseas forestry  for students majoring in forestry to build capacity and bear knowledge in forestry business in Indonesia.

Nine forestry students from Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) joint this program, and the students visit : Korea-Indonesia Forest Center (KIFC), Sentul Eco-Edu Tourism Forest (SEETF); Faculty of Forestry of Bogor Agriculture University, Perhutani teak plantation and processing mill, KOFPI-Perhutani biomass plantation and nursery in Semarang and in this site they will have practical training of silviculture and harvesting, forestry research agency in Yogyakarta and Cepu and visit tropical conservative rainforest in Yogyakarta. 

During their visit to KIFC on 24 July 2017, Indonesia Co-Director of KIFC, Sugeng Marsudiarto delivered presentation and discussion about : Indonesian Forestry an Overview.
