KIFC Participated in the Indonesia National Park Festival 2019 in Bali

Korea Indonesia Forest Center (KIFC) participated in the Indonesian National Park Festival that had been conducted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) on 19th – 20th July 2019 at Nusa Dua Bali Island.  Most of National Parks and Forest Recreation Parks in Indonesia participated in the festival, including Tunak Ecotourism Park, the Korea-Indonesia Cooperation Project at Lombok.

The Festival was officially open by the Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation, Mr. Wiratno, on behalf of the Minister of MoEF.  The opening of the Festival was attended by the representative of the Bali Provincial Government, Local Government of Badung District, National Parks officials, school and universities students,  the representatives from the Indian and China Counselor Generals, and other invitees, around 300 peoples.

After the opening ceremony, the Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation visited the exhibition booths, including Tunak Ecotourism Park booth that managed by the member of Tunak Besopoq, a local people group at Tunak, and the natural conservation office of Lombok. The Director General appreciated the involvement of local people in managing Tunak ecotourism forest, it is a good example for other ecotourism parks.
