The Director of International Forest Resources Development – Korea Forest Service Visited Indonesia
Mr. KIM Kyungsoo, the Director of International Forest Resources Development of Korea Forest Service and his team member visited Indonesia on 13 – 16 May 2018. The team members were : Mr. LEE Manwoo (Deputy Director – KFS) and Ms. LEE Nara (REDD+ Coordinator – KFS).
The purpose of the visit was for evaluation of the activities of the Korea-Indonesia cooperation projects on forestry, which are : 1. The registration of Project Document (PD) to VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standard), that being done by SG Consulting as a part of the Korea-Indonesia Joint Project on REDD+ at FMU Tasik Besar Serkap; 2. Strengthening Forest Recreation and Eco-Tourism at Forest Recreation Park of Tunak – West Nusa Tenggara; 3. Development of Sentul Eco-Edu Tourism Forest (SEETF).
During his visit, on the first and second day, Mr. KIM and his team held a series of meetings with the parties related to the projects, including SG Consulting representative and also the representative of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia. At the third day, the team visited Sentul-Eco Edu Tourism Forest (SEETF).
