Korean Forestry Students Visited Indonesia

On 30th July until 4th August 2015, 17 Korean Forestry Students from 14 different Universities in Korea accompanied by Prof. KANG HAGMO have visited Indonesia, under the program of “Future Global Green Leader Program” arranged by Korea Green Promotion Agency (KGPA). The purpose of the visit was to gain experiences in forestry practices in Indonesia by visiting some institutions related to forestry in Indonesia and interacting with Indonesia forestry students.

One of the agenda, on 3rd August 2015, at Sentul Eco-Edu Touris Forest (SEETF), the Korean Student had a gathering with 17 Forestry Student from Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) accompanied by Prof. Fauzi Febrianto. At the gathering, the Korean and Indonesian students made presentations about forestry in their respective countries, and also releasing birds and planted some trees. The Korean Students and Indonesian Students appreciate this program and Prof. Fauzi suggested, that in the next program could also involving some Junior forestry lecturer and the time length could be extended.

On 4th August 2015, the Korean students visited KIFC office in Manggala Wanabakti. Mr. Moon, Mr. Oh, and Mr. Sugeng presented in order and had Q&A time. Many students questioned what they wanted to know about Indonesian Forest industry, and the presenters replied detailed.
